Meet Dwayne and Sonya Rogers, owners of SYNERGY HomeCare of Fort Mill.
With a wealth of experience and education, they bring a refreshing approach to home care.
Both are military veterans. Dwayne Dwayne is a civil engineering officer in the North Carolina Air National Guard and Sonya is an Army Reserve veteran.
Sonya Rogers, who has degrees in technical management and medical administration, and will lead the day-to-day operations of the company. She believes the firm’s unrivaled work ethic will be a key differentiator in the community.
Dwayne Rogers, who graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and has an MBA from Northeastern University, currently works as an engineer for Corning Optical Communication and will provide operational oversight for the company.
Dwayne and Sonya indicate that the majority of their clients lack a local support system and rely on caregivers for assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping or going for walks. Some even require personal care such as help bathing, dressing or using the toilet.
SYNERGY HomeCare of Fort Mill’s main focus of in-home care is for older people who need some assistance in their homes to maintain their independence.
Dwayne and Sonya were drawn to home care because of their desire to make a difference, particularly among the aging population, a segment of society they believe deserves personalized care and support.
“Distance should not keep adult children from being in tune with their aging loved ones to help them maintain their quality of life while aging in place, something that can be accomplished through local in-home care,” Sonya Rogers explained.
