SYNERGY HomeCare based in Alabaster is owned and operated by Jessica Ott, who has dedicated her career to social work and caregiving.
After obtaining degrees in science and psychology, as well as a master’s in social work, Jessica began working with the geriatric community in rehabilitation hospitals, as well as in child development settings as a family service worker.
Along the way, she also dedicated herself to multiple community volunteer activities, such as creating and operating holiday food drives and fundraisers, creating memorandums of understanding (MOUs) between community organizations to benefit local residents, and engaging with multiple non-profit community programs.
Throughout all of these experiences, Jessica has become extremely well-versed in personalized service; it has also given her an outlet to provide care to more than just her two boys at home.
During her internship for her master’s degree, she discovered her love for homecare. While working alongside the older adult population, she was able to witness the impact that caregivers have on vulnerable demographics and how much they can directly improve their quality of life.
Jessica thrives while experiencing these genuine human interactions and it’s what eventually led to ownership of her own SYNERGY HomeCare franchise.
Her approach to relationship-building and work alike is that integrity, dignity and highlighting the worth of a person are paramount. In her time spent assisting aging adults, this is where she saw that these values mattered most. Not only did this allow Jessica to continue providing care on a larger scale, but it also provided her with a sense of joy and fulfillment that not many other activities can achieve. As owner of her own business, Jessica can guarantee that she and her entire team of caregivers will continue to radiate this positive energy throughout every client interaction.
SYNERGY HomeCare based in Alabaster provides a wide range of non-medical care options. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care provides assistance with bathing, dressing, using the toilet and other activities of daily life.
